Instrumentation-Data Processing Systems

For forty (40) years, we have excelled as instrumentation/control contractors and have, with the rapidly developing hi-tech industry, expanded this department to serve in addition to the municipal water department system needs the ever expanding data processing networks of today's industry.

Our instrumentation systems range from small municipal water system projects in Acton, Massachusetts monitoring and controlling a few pumping stations and elevated tanks from a central system status panel at a value of under $50,000.00, to a 2300 point project for IBM Central Manufacturing Data Control Center in Williston, Vermont, and a 1600 Data Terminal Facility for Massachusetts Department of Transportation in Boston to a $1,500,000.00 "Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition System for the US Navy, Portsmouth Naval Shipyard, Kittery, Maine.

Recently, we installed a security alarm system at the New Hampshire State Prison in Concord, New Hampshire. This system centered itself on a high frequency short-range antenna system where proximity antenna cables were installed along all the walls and fences of this institution and cabled back to the central prison control center. Anytime any person approached within 6 feet of any wall the control center was alerted and reacted. There has not been a successful escape from that institution since this system has been in operation. This is also the only system of its type in this part of the country.

This area of our business is one of our mainstays and will continue to be so throughout the 21st century. The future here is indeed bright. Our present volume in this department is approximately $900,000.00 per year and will expand by 20% for the balance of this decade.
